A man who moved to Luxembourg 15 years ago and since then has made little effort to learn any of the official languages has nevertheless totally proved himself to be a linguistic rock star by speaking three words of Luxembourgish to recycling center staff.
The display of impromptu kick-assery happened on Friday morning when the man drove to the Luxembourg City recycling center to get rid of a broken desk chair.
When a staff member looked at the man and the chair he was carrying, the man could have simply asked in English where it goes, but what he actually did makes us say, hot damn, man!
“Ech hunn dat,” he said, with the confidence and combined coolness of Samuel L. Jackson and Frank Sinatra.
Totally blown away by this awesome dude’s deed, the staff member did his best to hide his awe and responded with a few words that, unfortunately, the expat did not understand.
The employee reverted to the tried and true method of pointing to the right bin, which worked very well.
“Fucking beast mode,” the expat said to himself as he sped away in his 2018 Citroen C3, a sudden burst of power flowing through his veins, making him consider trying to order a lunch in Luxembourgish later that day.
