In what is being called a very understandable decision, the Grand Ducal Court has chosen to release a stock photo of an unknown baby instead of an authentic one of Prince François because the newborn wasn’t really in the mood.
“Hark, Prince François has been born, and the angels do sing,” said a press release. “But you know how it is when you’ve just been born, and everyone’s making a fuss over you, and you’re really tired.”
“So instead of sharing a real photo, we’re sharing one we got from the internet,” it continued. “It’s a good one from a reputable website where you have to pay, not one of those sites that offer royalty-free photos that half the time look amateurish or are out of focus.”
The Court went on to explain that just so you know, the actual newly born Prince François has a head of brown hair and strongly resembles his older brother Charles, the first child of Guillaume, Hereditary Grand Duke of Luxembourg and Princess Stéphanie, Hereditary Grand Duchess of Luxembourg.
“We’ll get around to a real photo later, so for the moment, just enjoy this one, and if you squint just right and use your imagination, you can appreciate just how adorable and smiley Prince François is,” the press release added. “Or at least, how he will be when he’s had a proper nap.”
