An expat has shared on an expats Facebook page a photo of a sock he found, just in case one of the group’s 12,304 members lost it or knows whose sock it is.
“Found in Merl Park on Tuesday at 2:20 in the afternoon,” he wrote. “One pink sock with gray hearts which might belong to a child or an adult with smaller than average feet.”
“I was walking with my little one near the duck pond when we spotted it on the ground,” he continued. “I tried handing it over to the restaurant for safekeeping, but the waitress refused to take it, so I put it back where I found it.”
The expat says the sock has definitely been worn a number of times, but it doesn’t have any holes, so he assumes it’s a “keeper” and was not intentionally discarded.
“If you are missing a pink sock or know someone who lost one on Tuesday, please inform them it’s on the stone path just to the east of the pond,” he added. “Please share this post with as many people as possible so that we can reunite the item with its owner who may at this moment be hopping around wondering with one bare foot.”
