Luxembourg man lifts weights non-stop for 48 hours to stock up on muscles before gyms close

October 29, 2020

Luxembourg man lifts weights non-stop for 48 hours to stock up on muscles before gyms closeGASPERICH — An avid bodybuilder from Luxembourg City has announced that he’s begun two full days of continuous weightlifting to stock up on muscles before the closure of gyms and fitness centers.

“I predict gyms will be closed for eight weeks maximum,” said Dragomir Petrović, 34, his back muscles bulging after a 52nd set of dumbbell rows. “I usually lift five days a week for 75 minutes, so that’s about six and a half hours a week.”

“But it’s okay, because I’ve taken a couple of vacation days from work, and I’ll just stock up on muscles now,” he added. “I don’t need sleep or rest because I am like Terminator, a little bit human on outside but machine on inside.”

Petrović is not the only one in Luxembourg trying to fit in as much leisure activity as possible. Luxembourg bank employee Eileen Murphy, 27, confirms she’s been spending up to four hours a day at a pub in the city center, drinking up to six pints so that she’ll be good and drunk when bars and restaurants are forced to close on Thursday.
