The individual who won €349,652 at the casino in Mondorf-les-Bains last week has fulfilled a lifelong wish by purchasing a dream parking spot close to Luxembourg City.
“It’s what I’ve always wanted,” said the lucky winner, an administrative assistant who lives near Perl. “A functional one-car garage at the end of a dilapidated road on the outskirts of the city from which I’ll only have to walk 10 minutes to catch a bus to get to the tram to get to my office in Kirchberg every morning.”
“Instead of driving 20 minutes, then taking the train, then catching a bus and the tram as I have to do now,” she said. “Goodbye, life of misery.”
Because the parking spot came at a price of only €299,000, the winner says she has plenty left over for more practical purchases.
“With the 50,000 euros I still have, I’m planning on getting my hair done at a coiffeuse in the city center and sending my daughter to a local private school for two months,” she said.
