Claude Grover, who works for a local architecture firm, says that going to a warm, stuffy space with 100 people exerting themselves and gasping for air is just the thing to treat whatever he’s got.
“Germs are like bad moods,” the 34-year-old said. “The best way to get rid of them is to give them to someone else.”
During the 90-minute session at the Bereldange location, Grover worked on a total of 34 machines and touched nearly every dumbell, making sure to cough on each one.
Fellow gym-goer Saskia Tsolakis, who did crunches on the ground as Grover coughed on her from an elliptical trainer nearby, says she’s already feeling the net gains of his presence.
“My trainer says that if you’re really pushing yourself, your lungs should burn,” she said. “Mine feel like they’re on fire.”
